Speaker: Ms. Adelyn Lim – the Founder of Rainbow of Life Forces Campaign – Managing Director of CreatiVision D. C. Sdn. Bhd.
Good afternoon.
We launched the Rainbow Of Life Forces- Blue Ribbon Campaign on October 25, 2007. Campaign. BRC is the first of our seven campaigns; seven being the number of colors in the rainbow. This campaign is initiated to raise awareness for childhood cancer. The fund raising campaign ended on January 31, 2008. That completes the phase one of ROLF- Blue Ribbon Campaign.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Celcom, our main sponsor, CIMB our official Bank, KPMG, official auditor, Astro WLT, AMP Radio Networks, Press, all the local celebrities and international stars, all Committee members, my friends and all in Malton Bhd, KL Pavilion, CreatiVision, JungleMotion and BrandaVision for making this campaign a success. On behalf of the beneficiaries, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Rainbow of Life Forces Campaign or ROLF is neither a NGO nor Charity Organization. ROLF is a voluntary facilitator and promoter whose mission is to help other entities that are now providing help to children, sometimes financially, other times with materials and advice. For every fund raising activity we do, we will uphold our principal “Every Cent Raised, Every Cent Donated”. ROLF will channel the gross collection to every beneficiary without deducting a single cent for production cost.
More than 3000 members of public have signed up as volunteers since last October. We call them Friends of ROLF. We are a hands-on social workforce. Although we come from all walks of life, different religious backgrounds, nationalities, different creeds and beliefs, we do completely agree on the reason why we have come together. We are here to help the children.
Now, let me brief you of what we are going to do in the next six months. We will continue to strengthen the force of Blue Ribbon Campaign for childhood cancer before we initiate the Red Ribbon Campaign which is an awareness program for Childhood Thalassemia.
Mission:
1. To promote “A Coin A Day Keeps The Cancer at Bay”
Parents should encourage their children to start saving at a young age. A coin might not seem like much money; however, when you save a coin everyday, the bunch of loose change can add up to a big sum and it will be able to help the children who are less fortunate. ROLF will publicize the emergency needs of young cancer patients from time to time at www.rolfcommunity.org. Media and legitimate NGOs will help to provide the information on the young patients who need immediate assistance and attention. ROLF will provide guidelines of how Friends of ROLF can help those in need.
2. To form a community website: www.rolfcommunity.org.
This website contains a support group newsletter, a resource library of cancer-related educational materials. The access is free and open to the public. Educating patients and family members about cancer is an important aspect in dealing with the disease. This website provides a supportive environment for people to share information, to express feelings and to learn coping skills.
3. To form a ROLF Social Workforce and weekly social work programs
4. To organize All-Star Sporting events as awareness & fund raising programs
ROLF CUP – The All-Star Sporting events will be hosted in this country every year starting from year 2007. The All-Star Sporting events can be any sporting tournaments and games. Last year, we hosted All-Star Charity Soccer. We are thinking of hosting the All-Star Basket Ball end of this year or in the beginning of next year to raise fund for ROLF-Red Ribbon Campaign for childhood Thalassemia.
So far, many colleges and universities have shown their enthusiasm to work with us in the ROLF campaign. CreatiVision has sponsored the following awareness programs and fund raising activities from March to June, 2008.

As Corporate Social Responsibility is to educate corporate leaders and teams in optimal human performance, we are passionate about implementing Youth Social Responsibility programs to build the young with the essential skills and experience in social work before they join the corporate world. In the coming months, we will continue working with colleges and Universities and provide practical training ground to the students.
Once again, I thank all of you for your support and hope that you will continue support this 7 year campaign. Let us together make a difference in the life of children.
